Video Announcement

When creating a video in Announcements, is there a time limit.

My quick test video works fine, but once the full 5 minute announcement was recorded, I hit save and nothing happens.

Can you advise?

According to the How do I record a video using the Rich Content Editor as an instructor?  guide (and this is also true of recordings created using the New Rich Content Editor), "Longer media lengths require a longer rendering time and may be interrupted without a stable internet connection."

So while your video is only 5 minutes long, it's possible that the length of the video as well as the speed and stability of your internet connection might be having some impact on how quickly the video is rendering. I'd recommend giving it more time before leaving the page and if still doesn't save, you might check your internet speed (you could use a service like fast.com to check that) and/or try uploading the video using a more stable/quicker internet connection.
