Will Canvas work for a preschool class??? Our district has directed all grade levels to use Canvas and I am afraid it will not work as well as SeeSaw which is easy to use and gives me that I need to provide online learning for my preschool students.
Hi Amy Cadena Welcome to the Canvas Community. I don't think you are alone in this thinking.
I see tools like Seesaw as being like a foot in the door to blended learning, a great opportunity to get to grips with some of the potential of sharing learning between home and school. I've noticed a number of early childhood teachers who have been avid Seesaw users starting to realise that it can only take them so far, they are then ready to extend the learning opportunities further with Canvas.
Logging on can be a wee bit tricky to get started but teachers and parents have been surprised at how quickly this has stopped being a roadblock. Some people offered ideas on how to make this a little easier (pre Covid-19) Can logging in be simplified for younger students?
Some K-6 reasons for using Canvas are here Best reasons for using Canvas K-6
And some food for thought here What's on your plate?
Best of luck, I hope you have lots of support and wonderful colleagues to work through this with.
Looking forward to hearing how you get on.
Sing out if you need a hand.
