Can't find 'assignments' tab

Hello, in the canvas guide i cannot find the assignments tab that it says to find under the course navigation tab? can I get some help please. thank you

Are you an instructor or a student? Instructors who are enrolled in the Teacher role can show and hide navigation links in the course navigation menu as detailed in How do I manage Course Navigation links? If you're a student, you will need to contact the instructor to find out whether they wish to show the Assignments tab in the navigation or alternatively which pathway they would like you to follow to participate in course activities and submit assignments.
