set up a new course Canvas site for Fall semester?

Are you using a Canvas account that your school is providing? If so, then they will generate your Fall term course shells for you. You will need to contact your school's Canvas Admin to learn when that might happen. I tried searching Virginia Tech's web pages for a link, but they have tucked it away all secret like.

If you are using a Free-for-Teachers (FFT) account, then you can create a new shell from the dashboard https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12892-how-do-i-use-the-dashboard-as-an-instructor
