I am trying to set up a visually pleasing home page. I created a page but when I go to "select home page" it does not allow me to select a page (that choice is grayed out). What is the best way for my home page to have a great image?
Hi Stacey Bender...
When you are on your "Pages" screen within your course, you will need to click on the cog wheel next to the name of the page that you want to be your "Front Page". You should have an option to set any page as your "Front Page". Then, when you go back to your "Home" page, you'll be able to choose the page you created and set as your "Front Page" so that students see it when they enter your course.
I'm also going to direct you over to the Instructional Designers group here in the Community. Stefanie Sanders wrote a really nice blog a while back called Creating an inviting course home page that might be of interest to you.
Hope this helps!!!
Chris is correct and to complete the loop, here's the guide that helps explain how to set a Front page - How do I set a Front Page in a course?
