In my courses, students work at their own pace. For reports, administration asks that we report on how much of the course a student has completed. Is there a way to see this?
@Melanie_Merke, one suggestion is to use MODULES in your course if you are not already doing so. Then, you can set up requirements for progressing through the Modules, as outlined here: How do I add requirements to a module?
While it's a bit cumbersome for larger classes because you have to click on each student's name one-by-one, there is a View Progress button in Modules.
Unfortunately, it appears the recent feature request to view progress for an entire class only garnered 14 votes (see View the progress of the whole class ), there is a programmatic workaround to this mentioned in this thread: How can I see an overview of progress in modules by all students in a course? , which I personally have not tried, though (also mentioned in that thread) there is an API that can do that which an administrator may be able to do for you.
Did the suggestion that Ken Black provide help to address your issue?
I am going to go ahead and mark this as assumed answered. This will not prevent other users form finding it or from additional comments being added.
Hi Robbie, my question was addressed. Canvas is not able to do what I
need to do at this time, at least how I have it set up. I may make
changes by adding modules next year, but I have currently found a way to
work around it myself.
Thanks for checking,
Sorry to bring this up again.
I have a customer who is experiencing the same thing and I am curious to know how you resolved it.
Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.
