Is it possible to create a question bank using questions that are in an existing quiz?
And how can I upload questions into a question bank without typing creating tehm one by one?
Mary, Robbie Grant Admin has outlined one way to create a question bank from a quiz using the Quiz Export tool: How to add questions from a quiz to a question bank?
Also, when a quiz has been created in Canvas "on the fly," i.e. the questions in that quiz were created in the quiz itself and not selected from an existing question bank, copies of the questions created in the quiz reside in a bank called "Unfiled Questions." You can create a new question bank from those questions by using the instructions in these lessons from the Canvas Guide: How do I move/copy a question from one question bank to another? and How do I move multiple questions from one question bank to another?
Moving to your second question, if you're creating a new question bank from questions that already exist elsewhere, the best way by far to bring them into Canvas all at once is through Respondus 4.0. This software has a cost associated with it, but your school might well have an institutional license that you can use.
