I can't update my browser to Internet Explorer 11. So does that mean I can't use my computer to take classes online? Please let me know.

Hi VIVIAN, you absolutely do not have to use Internet Explorer 11 to use Canvas--and in fact, it's been our experience that Canvas works better with Firefox or Chrome. Canvas is compatible with numerous browsers, as the Canvas Guide Which browsers does Canvas support? details. As you'll see, if you are not able to use IE11, you can certainly use Firefox or Chrome, and at our school we ask our students to avoid using IE in favor of Firefox or Chrome, because many of the problems students report end up being related to a problem with Internet Explorer.
However, your school may have incorporated specific content into their course(s) that can only be used with Internet Explorer 11. While that's highly unlikely, you can check it out by clicking on the Help button that you will see on your school's Canvas login screen here: Log In to Canvas After you click on Help, select the Report a Problem option from the dropdown menu.
Best of luck with your online classes!
Also, VIVIAN, I wanted to mention that I edited your question by shortening the title field and placing the question itself in the text body.
