I feel like this question must have been asked before, but I couldn't find it in the community, so I apologize if this is a duplicate question:

What is the difference, if any, between "Submission type: No submission" and "Submission type: On paper" in an assignment? I noticed that they both appear in the gradebook. Is the difference just semantic or is there a functional difference between the two settings?
