Student not showing up for Differentiated Assignment

One my my teachers created a test and assigned it to three of her sections.  She then copied that test to modify and assign to individual students.  Everything works great except that when she tried to add individual students, some of them are not showing up as an option to choose even though they are part of that course.

Here is what she is doing:

• Go to Assign section of the Quiz settings
• Type in names in the Assign To blank.  Most of the names are coming up to choose from, but some are not.
• The students are listed in the grade book as part of that course

Just not sure why some come up to pick and others do not.

 @lhenson ​, that sounds pretty baffling. My recommendation is to contact Canvas Support and see if they have any insight into the situation.

Nope, definitely sounds like a weird/strange one to me! I've used that feature quite a bit and never ran across that problem. When you hear back from support let us know what you find out! I'd be interested in hearing what the issue was.
