I have content that is locked until submittal of a doc has been done. I have sent the notification but the next assignment will not unlock. Please help
Dustin, from your description, it sounds like you are a student working in a course that has modules, and the items in those modules are set so that you will not be able to proceed to the locked content--the next assignment--until you complete a specific task--in this case, submission of a document. Usually submitting a document is associated with an assignment.
With that in mind, your description--"I have sent the notification"--doesn't necessarily sound like you have in fact completed the requirement to unlock the content. Have you navigated to an assignment, read and followed the instructions for that assignment, and uploaded the required document through the assignment submission interface? If you have not followed these steps--and if instead you have sent a message to your instructor with the document attached or something like that--the content will not unlock until you actually upload the document through the assignment itself.
However, if you have actually performed these steps, and the next assignment still won't unlock, there are a number of reasons this might occur, and since the specifics of your particular course and its structure are not accessible to the members of the Canvas Community (where you've posted this question), you will need to contact your instructor directly to troubleshoot the problem with him or her, using the the instructions in How do I send a message to a user in a course in Conversations?
