Where do students get their login and password information for the Account Manager in FireSSH?
FireSSH is a SSH terminal for Firefox and uses would be similar to that of PuTTY. In all the things that I do with Canvas, I've never used a terminal to communicate directly with Canvas as it's a web interface. I've used a terminal to log into a server where I could run programs and issue calls to the API, but not to do anything directly with the UI.
This seems more likely to be specific to Ron's school and possibly even a particular class there. It's possibly another case where someone confused the global community of Canvas users with local help at their school. I would have Ron start with the person who told him to use FireSSH or some other SSH client in the first place.
Hello Ron Danault...
I've never heard of FireSSH before. Can you please explain for us if this is related to Canvas at all? Are you trying to use FireSSH in conjunction with Canvas? If so, I may want to share your message with another group or two here in the Canvas Community that would, hopefully, be able to better assist you.
Thanks, James! Appreciate the explanation.
Thanks for your response James. It's good to know that support is available when needed.
I think I may have used the wrong forum to post my question. The problem I'm having has nothing to do with Canvas, but with a specific assignment in the CSE curriculum. I've reached out to one of the instructors I had this past summer and he was able to help me. Thanks to everyone for your input.
