I am trying to find a place to post my daily agenda so that if a student is sick or misses my class then he/she can see what we did.
Benjamin, I like Chris Hofer's suggestion to use Course Announcements to post a daily agenda. Building on his suggestion, I'd refer you to some of the innovative ways the Community has devised to display announcements on the course home page:
Create an Announcements Box on your Course Home Page (you can create this one yourself; no global modifications required)
Both of the above resources--and more--reside in the Instructional Designers group. You'll need to join that group in order to view them, but joining is just a matter of a few clicks.
Hello Benjamin Riehm...
IMHO, using course Announcements would be the best place to do this. You could certainly post a summary of what you did for the day as an announcement...so that not only do students who missed class see it, but it's also a bit of a review for those students who were in class. Creating announcements is similar to creating pages of content in your course, so you'll have the Rich Content Editor at your fingertips. You can also attach files to your announcements for your students to download. You can find all sorts of Canvas Guides about Announcements here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-4131#jive_content_id_Announcements
Hope this helps, Benjamin!
Add an all-day event on the calendar. You can edit it, you can add to it, and it is recorded for the full year. It shows up for every student in your course.
