Am I logged in or not?

I am faculty trying the free-for-teachers version. It seems to me I am logged in to Canvas but when I try to go back to the Instructure dashboard, I am prompted to log in. When I try, it gives me an error message, and although I've requested the password reset, I have not gotten an email in the inbox, clutter or junk email boxes related to the account associated with my on-line course. Any suggestions?
