The math editor allows me to create problems involving exponents, but I can't use the math editor to write answer choices that involve exponents. Any suggestions?? Thanks
Hi Cynthia Henry...
Are you looking for something like this?
If so, as you can see, this is possible in Canvas. What you need to do is click on the pencil icon to the right of your possible answer choice when you are creating your quiz. This will bring up the Rich Content Editor (RCE) where you can add exponents to your possible answer choices...similar to what I did in my above example. Hope this helps!
Yes, thanks - I was getting frustrated!!!! Do you know if I am able to use the rich content editor for the "fill in the blank" type question? It doesn't have the pencil icon with this type of question. I have been using the "essay" mode but then I will have to go and look at each student's answers rather than have it graded with the "fill in the blank" option. Thanks for your time!!!!
It doesn't look like Fill the Blank questions allow for the RCE...probably because it's looking for specifically spelled answers (something that the RCE wouldn't be able to handle???). However, I did find this Feature Idea that was up for voting last year: Quizzes.Next: Allow Rich Content editing for fill in the blank As you can see, it got lots of votes and is now Under Consideration. So, down the road you may see some improvements to this question type. Hope this helps!
Extremely helpful. Thanks for your time!!!
