I am having trouble getting to the next module for class. Any suggestions?
I would recommend contacting the instructor for the course that you are taking. The Ask A Question option has taken you to the general Canvas users forum. We do not have access to your course to troubleshoot. You should be able to click the Ask Your Instructor link to ask the instructor of the course a question.
Trisha, there are several reasons why this might be the case. First, it's possible that your teacher has set requirements you must fulfill before being allowed to advance to the next module. Double-check the module you've just completed to see if you are required to, for example, post to a discussion, or score a specific grade on a quiz, before moving forward. You'll see this explained in Why can't I access a module as a student?
If you have in fact completed all of the requirements, it's possible your teacher has set a date restriction on the module, meaning it won't be available until a specific date; if so, you should see an availability date (when the module will unlock) at the bottom right of the module. Or, it could be that he or she hasn't "published" the module yet (either deliberately or inadvertently). So you might have to contact your teacher directly for more guidance to find out why you can't move forward.
