The student submits and assignment. The professor grades the assignment on a rubric and places annotations on the submitted document. Before the student views the annotated document and rubric, the student resubmits another document in the same assignment and can no longer access or view the annotations or comments in the rubric.
1. Is there a process where the student can go back and view or download the previous document with the annotations? If so how? Can they do it on a desk top? on a lap top?
2. What process does the student follow to be able to view annotations of previous submitted documents when the student resubmits in the same assignment and the previous submission no longer is listed in the view window?
Hi there, @GailDorn …
Do you know if your school has enable “Assignment Enhancements”? This is an option that gives your students a different view of assignments in your course, and it allows students to look at past submissions of a given assignment. Check out How do I view assignment feedback from my instructor using Assignment Enhancements? for more information. As you can see from the screenshots in that Guide, students can select their “Attempt” for each time they submitted to a given assignment. You might want to have a conversation with your school’s local Canvas administrator or someone from your school’s Online Learing/eLearning department to see if “Assignment Enhancements” is turned on for your school or not.
I hope this will be of some help to you. Let Community members know if you have any other questions about this…thanks!
