I have self-paced courses set up with a final exam. I need an email notification for each final exam submission as they are submitted.
Hello Amber Shultice,
Welcome to the Canvas Community.
You can set a notification for " all submissions" in Canvas.
The first step is to go to your "Canvas Account Settings."
Under "other contact types" you can enter an alternate email address or a cell phone (for text).
Then navigate to Notifications (also found under account) and make the selection to be notified for "all submissions".
Here's the guide on that: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13111-4152719738

Thanks Heather! I was able to set it for all submissions but I only need notification for one submission in 3 of my 13 courses... I will be bombarded with notifications if I get one everytime something is submitted.

@ams257 , greetings! If this is a quiz in Canvas, then there is no easy way to get notified of the students completing it without being notified everything students submit anything in Canvas. My recommendation is to add something at the end of the Quiz telling the student to message you/email you when they complete the final.
Otherwise, you could add an assignment at the end, after the exam is completed, where the student submits something to the assignment stating that they are finished with the course. If you did this with an assignment, then it would pop-up in your "To Do" list as something you need to grade. Granted, there wouldn't be a specific notification about it sent to your email, but if you logged into Canvas you would easily be able to see that the student was finished.

I have added something that will send me a notification to my to do list... I can't find a way to apply this to just some of my courses. I don't need notifications for every course... Just 3 of my 13. Any suggestions?

I would also like to be able to do this. Any updates? I run primarily self-paced courses and it seems like this is a basic setting that should be available.
