[ARCHIVED] How do students know the course in Canvas

I am an instructor for summer school health.  I have never used Canvas, but have been learning as much as I can!!!

Question - I am sending an email to my students now, prior to our course which starts on Monday. 

I want to tell them  "HOW they will join my class" (but I have no idea)  I am very familiar with google classroom, but the district uses Canvas for the course I am teaching.

Please HELP!

1. Will they get an email?

2. Do I provide a link or code?

3. Do I have to email them an invite?
