I am a GA for class MKTG 360. The professor asked me to upload a 49G zoom video under week 5 of MKTG 360 and MKTG 645 in Canvas. I couldn't upload this video file to the Canvas. Please help.
Thank you,
Good morning, @Tracy_2022 ...
49 GB for a Zoom recording is really large! Generally speaking, Canvas courses are set at a default of 500 MB. (This is a Canvas Administrator Guide showing this: How do I set storage quotas for an account? - Canvas Community). There are a couple things you can try in Canvas:
Beyond these options, you might want to consider uploading this video to somewhere like YouTube or Vimeo. Then you can embed the video from either of those sites into your Canvas course.
I hope these resources will be of help to you. Please let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks! Take care, stay safe, and be well.
I thought Studio uploads do not count towards your course quota?
@MaskeM ...
Studio uploads do not count towards your course quota. I apologize if that was not clear in my above posting. Studio content lives on a different server, so it's different than storing files in a course.
in addition to what @Chris_Hofer provided, it sounds like to me that your post was intended for the canvas support personnel at your institution. if that is the case, you should contact them to find out what options are available. They will be better equipped to help with the specifics as it relates to the courses at your institution.
