Hi  @albertj ...

Assuming that your Word document has a bunch of exam questions in it, you cannot just upload that file and expect that it will automatically convert into a Canvas Quiz.  However, if you have the Respondus 4.0 exam authoring tool software, you can format a MS Word file in such a way that it imports your exam into Canvas.  I've written a blog post about this called: Batch Uploading Quiz Questions with Respondus‌ which you may find helpful.
