how to to white board in canvas
Hi @hoesterj . What kind of functionality do you envision with the whiteboard? Is this something an instructor would write on and students see in real-time, more of a recording students could view later, a way for all students to write on a board together?
Thanks for the additional information!
More as a recording for them to view later.
Sent from my iPhone
Hi @hoesterj If you want to make a screen recording for students to view later, my suggestion would be to use a program like Screencast-O-Matic to make a recording and export this to YouTube, then include the link in Canvas for your students. If your institution has a lecture-capture system like Panotop, it may also have a screen recording function. For a true whiteboard approach, my preference by far is to use an iPad running a screen recording app like Doceri (free) or Explain Everything (not free). Again, I export these to YouTube and then include a link in my class.
Would either of these options work in your situation?
