Comment Notifications

Is there a way to push notifications to students when I comment on a submission/assignment? Some of them are saying they do not see the comments and I am trying to understand why. Thank you!

Notifications are controlled by end users so you don't have any way to force send them.  But, you can send them link to these guides about how they can set them up 

• How do I set my Canvas notification preferences as a student?
• How do I manage notifications for a single course as a student?

In particular the Grading Submission Comments should be set to right away so they get them right away to whatever device they set up.
