Canvas logo use guidelines

The university I work for is looking to implement faculty badges based on varying levels of competency in Canvas.  We would like to use the Canvas single mark logo in the badges we create, but modify the color to match the university brand color (which matches our personalized branding colors in Canvas).  Faculty would also be able to post this badge on platforms such as LinkedIn or their own personal websites if they choose to do so.

I am aware of the information in the Canvas brand guide and this article but I don't feel like either gives a definitive answer about the use of the logo on an item that could be placed on a public-facing website.
