As we head into another new term, instructors and admin are consistently asking if there are better ways to streamline course navigation and completion for students. Often times, when course navigation and completion are left on the back burner, it can lead to student confusion and takes away from the purpose of the course- educating the learners. In this month's Dear Danielle, I highlight two course features that can help keep students on task and in the order in which the course was supposed to be taken; Module Requirements and Prerequisites.

Bio

After 8 years of teaching students in various K12 and HE English and Science courses, Danielle is now a Senior Customer Success Manager over the new BizGov segment. She also previously served on the Instructure Training Team and a HE Customer Success Manager. She earned a BS in Education (minor in Communications) from Cornell University, and a MS in Leadership and Communications from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has taught in Queens, Nashville, and Knoxville at the middle school, high school, and higher ed level. On the weekends, Danielle's hobbies include attending concerts, reading, going on hikes with her beloved pup, Chesney, and game nights with her equally competitive better half, Nick.
