The highlight tool in the app won't allow color change after having selected text. The only options I get are "comment" and "remove" when I tap the selected text to change the color. There used to be an option to change the color, but this option has disappeared. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello @Klingat!
I am sorry your question has gone for so long without a response.
I don't use the highlight tool a lot, but from what I could find this is how it's supposed to behave. When selecting your color you would want to choose that color prior to highlighting the text. You should be able to change your color and then highlight over what has already been highlighted though. I tested in both a web browser and the mobile app for iOS and it was the same.
What I gather from the guide is that this is how it should be if you take a look here.

Thanks, Jeff. While grading in the app, it didn’t matter what color I had selected. After highlighting, I could change the color after selecting text by tapping it and a menu would pop up and give me the option to change color. It made my job very easy. For some reason that option has disappeared. Thanks for you help.
Jeff:
How do I "undo" the highlighting tool? When I am giving feedback to a student in Canvas using the highlight tool, occasionally my hand "slips" and I end up highlighting the entire paragraph and following paragraph when all I want to do is highlight a single word or phrase. I can not figure out how to "undo" that highlighting to get back to just highlighting a single word or phrase. Any advice for me please?
Can we circle back to this? While this may be how the feature is now, it is not how it used to be. You used to be able to highlight using, say, an Apple Pencil while in the IOS app. After you highlighted, you could tap and there was an option to change the color of the highlighting (not just the "comment" and "remove" options). You did not have to choose the color prior to highlighting (although you could).
This was exceptionally more efficient when grading and annotating - and the loss of this feature has beyond significantly impacted the efficiency of using the tool in a negative way. This is almost to the point that it is unusable.
Can there be an examination into restoring this feature?
While it is still possible to change the color after highlighting on the web browser, it is significantly harder to highlight in the first place on the browser. I have also just tried to use the browser on my iPad where the feature still exists - but the browser version does not respond well to the Apple Pencil and is basically unusable.
Talking to colleagues, people really need this feature back.
