Where can I find the app for my phone where I will be notified when teachers make announcements or change due date of assignments

Hi  @lms1921  and welcome to the Community!  You would be looking for the Canvas Student app in the app store.  It has a circular red logo.  If you need more information on using the app, see the guide pages here Mobile Guides - Canvas Student.

I have that app.  I even uninatalled then reinstalled.  Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, an AT&T 5G smartphone

Well I found the app on my Google play store but had it before at my previous college.  So I uninstalled the app then reinstalled it hoping I would receive notifications but I haven't yet.  Does that make any sense?  Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, an AT&T 5G smartphone

Hi  @lms1921   When you load the app, do you still see your previous college or no college at all?  After downloading the app you should be able to select your school and when done you should be given the opportunity to receive push notifications and change your notification settings.  This document describes how to log in to your school on the Canvas app, How do I log in to the Student app on my Android device with a Canvas URL?  and the document how to switch user accounts if your old college still appears in app instead of the new one, How do I switch to another user account in the Student app on my Android device?

If you are having issues logging in, I'd suggest you use the new QR login feature:

If you aren't receiving notifications, you can set them in the app here: How do I set Notification Preferences in the Student app on my Android device? 

Once enabled from your phone, you can also adjust them on the web under the Push Notifications in the notifications preferences: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10624-how-do-i-set-my-canvas-notification-preferences-as-a-...
