Adding Textbooks to Canvas

Hi all,

Is there any tool within canvas (or perhaps an LTI)  where a teacher can search, or manually add the the ISBN of any book and the details of the book can be added to the course?  

We're migrating from blackboard at the moment and that LMS has a nice feature for adding this type of content.  Unfortunately, this did not copy over, and there doesn't seem to be a way to add textbooks as a specific piece of content.

Our school has an LTI from Barnes & Noble that does most of what you are asking, and more (includes both teacher and student functionality), and which creates course menu items. Learn more at LMS Integration | FacultyEnlight 

I suspect, that many other textbook publishers have similar toys available.

I’ve had several conversations with textbook publisher sales representatives over the past two months and all stated Canvas integration was one of their top requests. Most publishers appear to have gone their own route and now understand using an LTI to integrate with Canvas is important.

Let’s hope more publishers get onboard.
