How to change to view on Announcements? Remove the cross out eye.

First, go to Course Settings. Click on the Navigation Tab and make sure that Announcements is "enabled."
Next, you need to actually send an Announcement to your students. Even if you have "enabled" Announcements, you'll still see a crossed out eyeball until you send an Announcement.
***TO THE CANVAS DEVELOPERS*** It's more confusing than not for instructors to see a crossed-out eyeball for Announcements in this case. When I first started using Canvas, I found it confusing. When I've taught other instructors to use Canvas, they have found it confusing. If Announcements is "enabled" in course settings, there's NO REASON to have a crossed-out eyeball.
