Discussion on multiple pages

One of the things that's still causing significant issues for me and my students is longer discussions getting spread over more than one page.  It totally breaks the flow, and it's not always even obvious (especially to students) that there are additional pages.  Is there any way to turn this off for a course?

Often the second page get zero responses. It needs to be one long thread!
