I have student and trainer resources for my course separated and accessed by clicking a tile. How do I lock students out from being able to click through to the trainer resources?

Hi there @CassyCoggins ,
According to your image, it appears your "tile" is an image that you uploaded. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct way to prevent students from clicking on the link, however you could make it so the page that those resources are on (if they are on a canvas course page) accessible to only certain people. https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-assign-an-assignment-to-everyone-indivi...
I hope this helps!

Hello @CassyCoggins -
First off, who is the customer of the course? That is, who is most important? If it is the students, then in my opinion I would place that tile first... to the top left on the page.
As for the tile that links to the trainer resources, you hadn't shared what this links to. Is it Canvas Files, Pages, or perhaps a Module? And are the trainers enrolled as course Teachers? I am asking as it is possible to unpublish modules, pages, files so that Teachers can view the resources but not students. If you have a link, for example, to an unpublished course Module with unpublished Pages, etc. as content, then if students click the link, they will see a nice message saying they do not have access to view that content. Hope this is useful. ~ Jeff
