New RCE: Alignment vs Directionality

I'm preparing a video on the new RCE for staff. Can someone explain the difference between Alignment and Directionality? 

Edit: So it appears directionality is in the old editor too. When do you use this over alignment?

What does that mean? Page alignment?

I think you should just make a graphic not a video. Just my two cents.

In the editor, there is a paragraph alignment option (left, center, right) and a directionality option (left, right). What does left/right directionality do that left right alignment does not?

I think directionality is used for languages such as Arabic where the direction one reads is Right to Left.
