I have quite a few students that are not able to submit a picture of their work this week. This has happened a few times over just this year (it's not happened in previous years), but this week there are at least 8 students that cannot upload a picture of their work.
They haven't changed anything to upload their work. They've been able to upload and submit their work all year up to this point. I haven't changed anything for my assignments and how they are created, available, etc.
What could be happening?

You are welcome, @TabithaWirges, and thank you for that information.
Are you experiencing any problems when you try to use "View as Student"? If you are, can you provide the Community with a screenshot or two? If the problem is when on a mobile device, you can follow the How do I use Student View in the Canvas Teacher app on my Android device? - Instructure Community - ... and How do I use Student View in the Canvas Teacher app on my iOS device? - Instructure Community - 1990 guides.
Are you able to provide a screenshot of what the settings look like for the assignment when in teacher view?
If you are not able to share screenshots, then the Community's ability to help is limited and you would need to contact your Canvas team or Canvas Support directly.

Hi @TabithaWirges,
For each Canvas assignment, are you using restricted file types? I am referring to the "Restrict File Types" section of the How do I create an online assignment? - Instructure Community - 950 support article.
If you are, make sure that both (along with any others) JPG and JPEG are listed as accepted file types. If the students are an iPhone or an iPad, you might want to also consider adding HEIC as an allowed file type.
For a deeper review, you might need to contact your school's Canvas team or Canvas Support directly for assistance.

Thanks for the help.
I do restrict the file types to jpg, png, and pdf. But, this has not been an issue all year long. These students have been uploading with this restriction since August.
