I want to be able to use the formula questions to create a random number, and then plug that random number into a formula, for example to ask questions about a normal distribution.
In other products this was accomplished through the use of double square brackets. so I could say that something has a mean of x, and a standard deviation of y. find the probability of it being between [[x-y]] and [[x+y]].
This would also be useful for generating a total column for tables with random numbers. Does something like this exist in Canvas?
