Just to close the loop on the incident from July 9, 2025: according to Canvas Support, it was due to a bug in the deploy that morning which was considered patched approximately 12 hours later. Sooner than that, our students were able to begin a New Quiz.

I think it was reported that New Quizzes are experiencing slow load times at the moment. However, I recommend reconnecting to the WiFi / restarting your device to see if that helps? But, this could simply be a temporary engineering issue at the moment.

@NoahBoswell can you share where the New Quizzes slow load times issue was reported? I've been looking in the usual places (status page, Known Issues) and don't see anything.
To all: Our Canvas Support case number about this issue is 12577959; it's being handled as a bug rather than an outage.

This was just reported to a specific group, and I'm unfortunately not able to directly link where it was shared. However, I was personally told that it was resolved, but I cannot confirm that. It appears to only be affecting specific regions, too.
