on the link options, the instance domain is automatically prepended when editing a link. This unintentionally breaks jump to links.

The workaround is to edit in the html editor to remove the instance name. This workaround is not suitable for all users and causing student facing issues

Hello @ernestaljon ...

Thanks for posting this.  I think I understand what you are saying...given the screenshots you have shared.  Unfortunately, posting your question here is not the same as getting customer support from Canvas.  If you feel that something is not working properly in Canvas like the scenario you have provided, you'll need to submit this as a ticket to Instructure Support.  Now, if you are not a Canvas administrator for your school, you'll need to find out who is.  This is typically someone from your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Education team.  Instructure offers different levels of support...for instance at the College I work for, all help desk tickets first start through my team, and then if need be, we can contact Instructure on behalf of the instructor/student.  But, with the College I previously worked for, we paid extra to have a dedicated support number that students and instructors could call on their own without going through my team first.

If you can, I would highly recommend having that conversation...and then also within Canvas, go to the "Help" icon on the left-hand global navigation menu, and then select "Report a Problem".  Make sure that you are on the screen where you are experiencing the issue before clicking on "Report a Problem"...as this should send some additional metadata along with your ticket to support folks.

I hope this will be of some help to you.  Good luck!
