retrieving an unpublished assignment

How do I retrieve unpublished assignments from an unpublished module. I was loading assignments and chose to place the module at the top of the page. It did not move and all of the assignments disappeared.

Wow, that sounds frustrating and bizarre. 

A couple things come to mind to check first - 

1. Did you check your internet connection to make sure something didn't hang up there? Loss of - or poor - connection can cause strange webpage behaviors.
2. You may want to make sure you are using a Supported Web Browser
