Canvas deploys contain code changes that are intended to fix bugs, improve performance, and prepare for new features. These deploys take place every two weeks and can be tested in the beta environment before the production deploy date indicated in the title of this document.

Summary

Summary
In Course Settings, instructors can opt to select either Enable as homeroom course or Enable Course Pacing checkboxes. When one of these feature checkboxes is selected, the other is automatically disabled.
Change Benefit
This update prevents instructors from trying to enable both a homeroom course and course pacing due to homeroom courses having limited course tabs.
Feature Workflow
When the Enable as homeroom course checkbox is selected [1], the Enable Course Pacing checkbox is disabled [2].
Additional Information
Course Pacing requires the Modules navigation link, therefore when the Homeroom courses is enabled, this link is not accessible and course pacing no longer works.

Summary
When adding a To-Do item in the Dashboard List View or the BigBlueButton modal, the Date field includes a calendar icon and alignment of the next and previous month arrows is improved in the Date Picker. When a date and time are selected, the text displays the day of the week. Additionally, the time field allows students to type the desired time in addition to picking from a drop-down menu.

This update improves clarity and user experience of the To-Do fields.
Feature Workflow
In the Date field, a calendar icon displays [1] and the Next and Previous arrows are better aligned in the Date Picker [2].

Feature Workflow
When running a user’s access report, only data within two years is available. Additionally, if a user had access more than two years prior, a message displays but details cannot be provided.
