Please explain how the content I upload is accessible as a folio for me to share into the future, post being a student and having access to the canvas of my university. Can I continue to add to the portfolio across my working life?

Hello @CarolynRundell
Thank you for posting in the Community!
The Canvas Student ePortfolio does not get cleared out or deleted at any time, so you do have the ability of adding to your Profile as you gain experience and education. The account does need to be accessible after you graduate however, so we usually recommend students adding a personal email on file, in order to make sure they are able to access after graduation. Here is a guide for adding additional emails to your account:

Please let us know if you are having any further questions about this, and if you are trying to gain access into a previous account, our support team would be glad to help. Please email us at support@portfolium.com if you are needing any assistance!

Folio is a Portfolium product native to Canvas, which provides a means of building online portfolios with curated content and artifacts that is more seamless to the classroom experience. All faculty and students now have access to Folio.
Peter, we are starting a bunch of new teacher education programs and they need "free" Folios. Is this a good choice? Can you share with us any institutions using Folio for student portfolios? Do you have a success story or two?
Thanks for posting in the Community.
Just for reference we have many institutions utilizing Canvas Student ePortfolios in portfolium.com and it is a great tool for professional development.
If you are using Canvas Student ePortfolios and you have the Folio LTI installed, users can connect to the ePortfolio through the account menu in Canvas, and then clicking into the Folio LTI.
For a good example of institutions that use this platform and have had success, Lamar University is a good example as they have many Pathways that students and teachers can enroll in for professional development and different subjects.
If you are having any questions about using the software, please reach out to our support team at support@portfolium.com. If you are looking at getting these tools installed at your Canvas instance, please reach out to our Portfolium CSM at portfolium-csm@instructure.com
Hope this helps!
In reading the answer provided above, it does not seem to fully answer the question. Just to confirm--does a Canvas user no longer have access to their ePortfolio after they graduate and are not part of the University?
