How do I submit an assignment in Portfolium as a student?

Find your school's Canvas URL

To find your school or institution's Canvas URL, begin typing the name of your school/institution. Results will appear after you type at least 3 characters. For best results be as specific as possible. If you can't find your school, try using any part of your school's name or searching for your school district or state. You may also need to search for the school using the acronym or full name, for example "USU" and "Utah State University".

How do I submit an assignment in Portfolium as a student?

If you have been enrolled in a course in Portfolium, you can create and submit projects that will be added to your portfolio.

If your instructor created a linked Portfolium assignment in an LMS, such as Canvas, you may need to access and submit the assignment through the LMS.

Open Tasks

In the Toolbar, click the Tasks icon.

Open Course

On the Tasks page, you will see a list of courses you are enrolled in. To open a course, click the name of a course.

View Assignments

When you open the course you will see a list of assignments. to view the instructions and submit the assignment, click the name of an assignment.

View Assignment Details

On the Assignment Details page, you can view information about the assignment, including the due date [1], scoring type [2], and any instructions provided by your instructor [3].

To begin working on the assignment, click the Start Assignment link [4].

On the Add Project page you can begin building your project. Add your assignment materials as attachments [1], set a category for the assignment [2], and enter a short description of your work [3].

While creating your project, keep in mind that this project will display in your portfolio and be visibile to your network and potential employers.

Add additional details to your project as needed, including skills you learned while working on the project [1], teammates you collaborated with on the assignment [2], and tags to help other users more easily find your work [3]. A tag with the course information will be automatically added to your project.

Submit Assignment

When you have finalized your project details, click the Submit Assignment button.

Confirm Submission

Confirm Submission

You will be prompted to confirm your submission. To submit your project for review, click the Submit button.

View Submission

Until your assignment is reviewed and scored, the assignment status will display as Submitted. Your score and any feedback from reviewers will display on this page.
