To Our Amazing Educators Everywhere,
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
I currently have videos in my Canvas Studio that are embedded in my courses. My department has a shared course where we can build a course together then export that into the courses we use with students. At the moment, they seem to be able to view the videos after they import into their other courses. This works well as each of us do not have to load the videos into our own studios, then update the embedded videos to match.
However, when I shared a course with a teacher at another district, the embedded videos did not work.
Is there a way to set up the video so that I could share the course outside my district and the videos still work?
I have looked at the option to generate a public link. What remained unclear from the Canvas Help page regards whether the videos can be publicly searched, or would it still require the link to access? Can that link be used to embed a video?
Hello @JeffCampbell ...
For the last part of your question, you might want to take a look at this Guide:
How do I get a public link or embed code for media in Canvas Studio?
I will update the OP when I get back to a computer (my mobile browser does not show an option to edit).
I have seen that. I meant to say that I have looked at creating a Public Link. I am wondering if someone can search for the videos and see them, or would they still need the link to access it?
And when embedded, is it using the public link? In other words, will it enable someone outside my district to be able to view the videos?
