We completely agree with you, @Chokichi . Unfortunately, the parameters of the Hot/New toggle are baked into the Ideas hub of this third-party platform, and we aren't able to reconfigure it in a manner that actually makes sense to our users. However, rather than asking that company to fix the toggle, we've focused on working with them to improve user-accessible search and sort capability so that anyone can easily search ideas (and other content) according to the specific parameters they set.
In the meantime, we've been making incremental improvements to the Idea Conversations forum over time, and as time permits we'll work on structural changes that we hope will result in a better user experience overall.
