In the New Analytics/Weekly Online Activity, under Resources several course individuals are listed. How can a course participant be listed as a Resource? This seems very odd to me. Thanks for any input you may have!

The listing of a user happens when someone clicks on their name on the People page to view their profile.
Hi CynthiaEdwards1,
from recent experience I would suggest that students are clicking on the People view (Course Roster) or the avatars in discussions or announcements to view the profiles of peers or teachers. This isn't a bad thing as it does represent engagement and clickviews/page loads.
However this entry is more problematic, and looks from the description like a photoshop image UNTHSC STOCK .JPG
The reason that this is appearing is that it is loaded somewhere in your content as an image under a download link. Hence the number of pageviews/loads is being distorted, because analytics is counting the page load and the load of the individual images within it.
We have noted that changing the image link to /preview still allows the image to show on the page, but avoids the image display being treated as a page load for analytics purposes.

Since we have people removed from the student view, this means it would be an instructor or other staff clicking on these individuals. Correct?
Student avatars and profiles can still be seen via discussion board posts, I believe, even if Course Roster (People) is hidden...
