How do I configure grade proficiency rankings for my institution?

Before configuring the Grade Proficiency Rank setting, please configure the letter grade ranking scale for each school category at your institution.

In Elevate K-12 Analytics Admin Settings, the Grade Proficiency Rank setting allows you to specify the letter grade rank value that represents proficiency for each school category in your institution.

By specifying the proficiency grade ranks for each school category, you can confirm that proficiency data is correctly represented in your Elevate K-12 Analytics watchlists, dashboards, charts, and explorations. When you set the proficiency rank score for an institution, all grades that meet and exceed the specified rank count as proficient grades.

The Settings menu displays the Academics settings options [1].

Click the Academic Record link [2]. Then click the Grade Proficiency Rank link [3].

View Grade Proficiency Rank Setting

The Grade Proficiency Rank setting displays your institution's school categories in the School Category list [1].

To find a category in the list, you can search by name or view only unmapped categories [2]. Learn more about viewing and managing settings.

Set Grade Proficiency Ranks

For each school category, enter a letter grade value in the Proficiency Rank field [1]. Alternatively, you can increase or decrease the displayed score using the score Up/Down buttons [2].

The category's proficiency rank corresponds to all letter grades with the same ranking configured in the Letter Grade Ranking Scale setting. For example, your institution may include an Elementary School category that uses a traditional A-F letter grade scale. You may specify the following rankings for each letter grade: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, F=1. If you enter a proficiency rank of 3 for the Elementary School category, then every student grade at or above a C is categorized as a proficient grade in Elevate K-12 Analytics.

Set Multiple Grade Proficiency Ranks

To set multiple options at once, click the option checkboxes [1]. Then, click the Assign selected items to drop-down menu, and select a value [2]. Learn more about managing multiple options.
