All or No Points on Multiple Answer Questions

Currently multiple answer questions give a partial score if students do not choose all the correct answers. Please add a feature that allows faculty to set multiple answer questions to give an all or nothing score if the student does not choose all of the correct answers. Many professional certification exams require this type of scoring and currently our faculty are having to hand grade these questions.
This idea has been developed and deployed to Canvas

Very important for Indiana University's School of Nursing.

Our Nursing faculty absolutely need this option! Without it they can't appropriately prepare their students for the NCLEX!! As it is they are going in and manually re-grading all of their multiple-select questions so that they are all or none points. This is very time consuming and frustrating for them. sadpanda

We at Bryan College of Health Sciences are in the same boat for our nursing courses.  NCLEX readiness is essential.  It is very time consuming to hand correct these questions and that is the only option faculty have in Canvas to create the testing experience nursing students require. .

We use "select all that apply" questions (multiple response)  on each unit exam. However, we do not award partial credit since NCLEX does not award partial credit. It is all or none. This is not an option on Canvas, so rather than taking points away from students we don't initially put points on the multiple response questions. Then when grading we have to go back in and manually add points on each student under each multiple response question. HELP! We need an option for it to not give partial credit.

Agree with above.  It would be very helpful to at least have an option for scoring multiple response questions as all correct or no points.  We allow our students to view scores immediately after testing.  They are given 5-9 multiple response questions.  Our practice is to not score these items but make them worth "0" points so that the students' scores are not incorrectly skewed higher than they actually are.  Faculty must go back in to each students test and hand grade these questions.  The all or none feature would be very helpful.

I agree with Angie "all or nothing" points for multiple response items is needed.

ICC needs canvas to grade "all or nothing" points for multiple response items.

We need this option, not only to improve grading times, but to have statistical data for our multiple response questions for program improvement.

We need this option to improve grading efficiency and remove the possibility of partial credit.
