Canvas should allow editing of HTML files in the Files folder

I read a recent post about editing HTML files in Canvas. It said I had to download an HTML file from the files folder to my computer, then use my own HTML editor to modify the file, then upload it again to the Files folder. Canvas has its own built-in HTML editor, which I find to be quite easy and efficient to use for creating pages. Why am I not allowed to use that editor to modify html files in my Files folder for my course?

I strongly recommend that Canvas allow for the editing of html files in the Files folder using its internal HTML editor.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
