Do not use "at" for due time on Assignment link while also using "at" for Speedgrader timestamp

When a teacher creates an assignment, a due time is displayed on the Assignments link. Canvas uses the term "at" to describe when an assignment is due, such as "Due Aug 19 at 6pm." Canvas also displays the term "at" to reflect the assignment submission timestamp in the Speedgrader. In Speedgrader, the timestamp is displayed as "Aug 19 at 6pm LATE."

When an assignment is submitted within the minute of the due time, it is considered late. It does not make sense. The assignment is due at 6pm and late at 6pm

Instead, change the term used to describe the assignment due time on the Assignments link. Instead of due "at," use due "by" or even better due "before."

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this idea. We've moved it open for broader discussion. For context, we note that an assignment that is due at 6:00:00 PM is marked late if submitted at 6:00:01 PM or later.
