ULR option to link a file rather than browsing to link it when adding document to module

It would be very nice to have the option to post a URL link to upload a file into a module rather than having to browse through the files on my computer to upload it.

There is a URL option within Modules, and there are some great ways to get a file that is uploaded to your course into Modules too.

How do I add an external URL as a module item? 

How do I add course content as module items? (CMD+F or CTRL+F is a great shortcut to find an item on this list!)

I feel that I'm missing an important aspect of your request. If these two resources don't allow you to accomplish what you need to within Modules, please let the Community Team know a little more. Thanks!
