@KendallKnight  Can you elaborate on how students and teachers are using Wolfram in their courses? Does using the Wolfram notebook require a paid subscription and authentication credentials with Wolfram, as their site Contact Information for Wolfram Customer and Technical Support seems to imply?

The teachers post wolfram notebooks that are the lecture notes and other notebooks that are the homework problems. The students the download the .nb file and add code to solve whatever problem the teacher posed. It would be able to look at the files just to see the content. I am not sure if only looking at the notebook would require that as opposed to executing them

@KendallKnight  Thanks for that quick response! What program do students need to use to  open the .nb file? Is it free of charge?

We open them with Mathematica, but that is also so we can also execute code and edit them.

Thanks for working with us to streamline this idea, @KendallKnight . I've checked with our internal teams, and we've collectively decided to move this forward for further conversation as a request for the ability to view the .nb files as static PDFs in DocViewer/Speedgrader.

In the interim, students can use the instructions from Wolfram to export their .nb files to a PDF before submitting them: Export to PDF—Wolfram Language Documentation
