Impact Release Notes (2023-09-26)

In this Impact release, accessibility updates are implemented for the Login page, Impact Dashboard: Support Center, Inline Editor, Sub-Accounts, Impact Dashboard and Inline Editor, and Users and Permissions.

Accessibility

Login Page

The following accessibility update is implemented on the Login page:

• Email and password fields are labeled correctly for Screen Reader users.

Dashboard: Support Center

The following accessibility update is implemented to the Support Center page within the Impact Dashboard:

• Screen Reader users can open the Support Center drop-down menu using text and tab navigation.

Inline Editor

The following accessibility update is implemented in the Inline Editor:

• In the Inline Editor, Keyboard-only and Screen Reader users can select an element to create a message, walkthrough, or monitor.

Sub-Accounts

The following accessibility updates are implemented for the Sub-Accounts:

• In the Sub-Account drop-down menu, Keyboard-only users can open the drop-down and navigate the options.
• In the sub-account drop-down menu, Keyboard-only and Screen Reader users' initial focus is on the first button (reset or cancel).
• The Sub-Account drop-down menu expands area collapses for Keyboard-only and Screen Reader users.
• After selecting a Sub-Account from the drop-down menu, Screen Reader announces the selected Sub-Account.

Impact Dashboard and Inline Editor

The following accessibility update is implemented to the Impact Dashboard and Inline Editor:

• Impact Dashboard and Inline Editor buttons display the appropriate InstUI blue color.

Users and Permissions

The following accessibility updates are implemented on the Users and Permissions page:

• The Invite New User modal for Sub-Accounts receives Keyboard-only focus on the tooltip icon. Once the icon is in focus using the Keyboard-only navigation, the tooltip is visible. The tooltip is dismissed when the focus shifts away from the icon element.
• In the Invite New User modal, the tooltip is contained within the browser window.
• In the Invite New User modal, the Screen Reader describes the Select Access Level button.
• In the Invite New User modal, role attributes have been added to the tooltip icon elements, and the tooltip icon is now described as a ‘tooltip button’ along with the text content of the tooltip.

Fixed Bugs

• In the Support Center, after a page-level context is connected to a support center category, it is reflected in the context overview page and the individual context page.
• The video aspect ratios are displayed appropriately in the Blackboard Ultra Support Center.
• Personalized variables are displayed as intended in Blackboard.
• Sub-Accounts display appropriately in the Global Selector when searched.
